Review: Twight Graphic Novel by Young Kim and Stephenie Meyer

The Blurb
'When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his percelaine skim, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irrestiable and impenetrable. Up until now he has manages to keep hsi true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret...'

Being a big Twilight fan i just couldnt wait for this to come out, and as soon as it did i bought it.
I had never really read a graphic novel before so i found it kind of intresting. But at some parts of the book it seemed like they had just taken a few random lines of the twilight and placed them in the book, the only reason i really understoof what was going on was because i had read twilight before.
But all in all Young Kim is a very skilled artist, and i hope if they do make the other books into graphic novels i hope she does the art.
Rating: 7/10--- mainly because it's Twilight

Book Review: Thirteen Reason's Why By Jay Asher

[p0lo0The Blurb:
You can't stop the future.
You can't rewind the past.
The only way to learn the secret... is to press play.

Clay Jensen returns home to find a strange package with his name on it. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker- his class mate and first love- who committed suicide two weeks earlier.

Hannah's voice explains there are t#hirteen reasons why she killed herself. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why.

All through the night, Clay keeps listening- and what he discovers changes his life...
Forever.

288 pages normal size writing, and for some reason it took me about a week to finish it, it wasnt a bad book infact i thought it was really good.

The book is in the perpective of two characters. Clay who is listening to the tapes and Hannah who made the tapes.
Hannah had recently commited suicide by overdosing on pills, she decided that the people who made her choose to do this deserve to know. So she picks thirteen reasons why she killed herself and recorded herself telling the stories. Before killing herself she sends the cassettes to the person on the first tape who then needs to send it to the person after them and so on, until the last person (thirteenth) is left to live with the cassettes for rest of their lives.

I did not cry at this story, but i found it emotional and i felt sympathy towards Hannah, her first few reasons didn't really effect me at all, but as the book goes along i began to understand what drove her to the overdose.
It is a young adults read and i recommend it to everyone.
It kind of holds a message within the book: Think about what you are doing and how it may effect people, even people who arn't involved.

Rating: I give this book a 8/10

Book Review- Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

The Blurb:
In Ethan Wates's hometown there lies the darkest of secrets...
There is a girl.
Slowly, she pulled the hood from hear head... green eyes, black hair.
LENA DUCHANNES
There is a curse. 'On the sixteenth moon, of the sixteenth year. The book will take what it's been promised,'
and no one can stop it.
In the end, there is a curse.
Len and Ethan become bound together by a deep, powerful love. But Lena is cursed and, on her sixteenth birthday, her fate will be decided.
Ethan never even saw it coming.

The first time i saw this book i wasn't to sure about it, but i decided to buy it anyway, it was only £4.50, so pretty cheap. I expected it to be boring or maybe just rubbish, but probably within the first page i was hooked, it took me quite a while to read, which surprised me, but in my defense it was a long book (563 pages), but once i picked up the book i would read 100-150 pages at a time. I just can't get over how amazing it is. I recommend it to anyone who has the ability and concentration to read a long book.

The main thing i love about this book is the story line (which you probably could of guessed) basically Ethan and Lena fall in the love, but that love is destined to end early, as fate is difficult to avoid, but do they actually stay together or are they forced apart.

So Read You Dont Know What Your Missing Out On!!!

Rating:9/10

Sorry this isnt that much of a good review, i found it hard to write.

Book Review: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

The Blurb:
My name was Salmon, like the fish; first name, Susie. I was fourteen when i was murdered on December 6, 1973. My murderer was a man form our own neighborhood. My mother likes his border flowers, and my father talked to him one about fertilizer.

This is Susie Salmon speaking from heaven- which looks alot like her school playground, with the good kind of swing sets, counsellors to help newcomers adjust, and friends to room with. Everything Susie wants appears as soon as she thinks of it- except the one thing she wants most: to be back with the people she loved on earth.

Watching from her place in heaven, Susie sees her happy, suburban family devastated by her death, isolated even from one another as they each try to cope with their terrible loss alone. Over the years, her friends and siblings grow up, fall in love, do all the things she never had the chance to do herself.

But life is not quite finished with Susie yet...

After seeing the preview for the film Lovely Bones in the cinema I instantly wanted to read the book as i thought the story seemed quite good. I got home and told my mum that I wanted to read the book and as a child she had read it herself and she really liked it, also quite a few of my friends thought that this book was amazing. So once i finally borrowed it off someone i was really excited to read it, the first few pages got me gripped but for some reason i began not to enjoy it.
Why? I dont know, it in my opnion was a brilliantly written book with a great story line but it bored me, so i dont really know why im reviewing this book, if you read any other reviews on this book they will probably say something like i found this book amazing, so dont let this review put you off, I say you should read it and basically ignore my opnions on the book.
I give this book at 5/10
